- Prepare a list of your property needs and wants. Needs are generally be defined as “must haves" such as...3 bedrooms...a private driveway or...within close to the bus stop. They are those features of a property that you cannot live without. Wants are those things that are “nice to have" such as...air conditioning...white picket fence..bird bath. Wants tend to be frills that you can actually live without but may often be bought or built.
- Be specific about where you want to live. If you must live in a favourite area, let us know so we will not waste your time with anything outside your preferred neighbourhood.
- Arrange for a pre-approved mortgage from your bank, credit union or mortgage broker so you know for sure what your price range will be. You really need to know what you can afford before you begin searching for a home. If you prefer, we can direct you to a lender who offers preferred rates
- Communicate to us your likes and dislikes for each property you see, once we begin looking at actual properties for sale. It will help us get a better understanding of what you like and narrow down the search possibilities.
- Respect the terms of the purchase agreement. Once you sign a Buyer Agency Agreement with us, we will devote ourselves to helping you find your dream home. We deserve the same commitment from you as a buyer.
